Project Background
Dazhi River in Shanghai is a wide artificial river with complex water exchange conditions. For this type of water body, COD and ammonium nitrogen are important indicators for identifying organic pollution and nitrogen pollution impact.
Because river condition changes with rainfall, water exchange and surrounding discharge, online monitoring is needed to capture short-term fluctuations and long-term trends.
How YexSensor Solves It
The recommended configuration uses COD and ammonium nitrogen sensors as the core devices, together with turbidity and dissolved oxygen sensors. COD and ammonium nitrogen support pollution tracking. Turbidity helps evaluate runoff, sediment and water exchange disturbance, while dissolved oxygen reflects water self-purification and ecological condition.
The sensors can be deployed at a riverbank or open-water monitoring point depending on the site structure. RS485 Modbus RTU output makes it convenient to connect the data to an existing monitoring system.
Recommended Product Configuration
| Product Image | Model / Product Link | Configuration Role |
|---|---|---|
![]() | YEX-S1-COD COD Online Sensor | Core indicator for tracking organic pollution changes in the river |
![]() | YEX-S1-NHN Ammonium Nitrogen Sensor | Monitors ammonium nitrogen variation and nitrogen pollution impact |
![]() | YEX-S1-ZS Online Turbidity Sensor | Observes turbidity changes caused by rainfall runoff, sediment and water exchange |
![]() | YEX-S1-RDO Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor | Evaluates dissolved oxygen condition and river self-purification capacity |
This configuration is suitable for wide river sections, artificial channels and water exchange areas where COD and ammonium nitrogen are priority indicators.
