Patented Fluoride Ion Electrode System

Installation Angle Tips
Unlike conventional sensors, fluoride ion sensors cannot be installed upside down or horizontally. They must be tilted at least 15° or more to ensure normal operation of the internal reference system and avoid bubble interference.

Q1: Does the YEX-S2-FLU require reagents or consumables?
No. It uses the ion selective electrode method, requires no added reagents, and only needs regular calibration and electrode maintenance.
Q2: Why can't the sensor be installed horizontally or upside down?
Because the internal reference solution slowly seeps out under positive pressure, inversion or horizontal orientation will affect the stability of reference solution seepage, causing measurement drift. It must be tilted more than 15°.
Q3: What is the difference between the two models (-A and -S)?
The main difference is the housing material. -A is POM+ABS, suitable for conventional water bodies; -S is POM+316L stainless steel, with higher corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, suitable for industrial wastewater, seawater or highly corrosive environments.
Q4: What output methods does the sensor support?
Standard RS-485 Modbus/RTU, optional 4-20mA analog output. Both can coexist.
Q5: How to perform two-point calibration?
Use zero-point standard solution and slope standard solution (e.g. 1mg/L and 10mg/L). Immerse the sensor, wait for stabilization for 5 minutes, then execute calibration via Modbus command.

Under normal use and maintenance conditions, electrode life is better than ordinary industrial electrodes. The manufacturer provides a six-month warranty; actual service life depends on water quality and maintenance.

Q8: Is it necessary to clean the electrode crystal membrane?
If the crystal membrane becomes semi-transparent or has deposits, rinse with distilled or deionized water. Do not wipe or scrape. Replace the electrode if it fails after long-term use.
